www.minnesotamutual.com. Learn more about Minnesota Mutual, the insurance company that underwrites Farm Credit's credit life insurance program.

www.fccouncil.com. The Farm Credit Council is the trade association for the Farm Credit System. Extensive background and news releases on the economy (both domestic and global), current market information, research and links to agricultural and financial sites.

www.fccservices.com. Farm Credit Council Services provides a wide array of innovative business services to the Farm Credit System. http://dairyoutlook.aers.psu.edu/. A comprehensive collection of news, economic forecasts, commentary, issues and practical information for producers and others in the industry. Although it has a definite Pennsylvania flavor (the site is maintained by Ken Baily, Associate Professor of Dairy Markets and Policy at Penn State) much of the information relates to the industry in general.

NRAES (Natural Resouces, Agricultural and Engineering Service) is an interdisciplinary, issues-oriented program focused on delivering educational materials and training opportunities in support of cooperative extension. They feature a nice publication collection and conduct conferences.

www.agmkt.state.ny.us/. (New York) A variety of agency information including administrative and program directories and employment opportunities. Also offers assorted links to consumer, producer and department programs.

www.usda.gov. The United States Department of Agriculture's site with information on ag development, legislation, food safety and ag reports.

www.ams.usda.gov/directmarketing/. Agricultural Marketing Services Farmer Direct Marketing site includes
publications, farmer market directories, state direct marketing resources, resources and links, information about the service and a "Where can I get assistance for my market or project" feature.

www.forestindustry.com. The Forest Industry Network. Features classifieds and equipment listings for use in the timber industry. Also has links to popular timber products publications.

www.redwingsoftware.com. You'll find answers to just about any question you could ask about Red Wing's management software for agricultural operations and agribusiness: AgCHEK, Payroll, Business Accounting.

Government services

http://disaster.fsa.usda.gov/ - This FSA site provides information about the Agricultural Assistance Act of 2003. Frequently asked questions, important dates and program information are included along with a Crop Disaster Program calculator.

www.fsa.usda.gov/dafp/psd/MILC - The site for information on the Milk Income Loss Contract (MILC) program. This program, authorized by the 2002 Farm Bill, financially compensates dairy producers when domestic milk prices fall below a specified level.

www.house.gov/agriculture/. Take a look at the U.S. House Committee on Agriculture site for the latest updates on ag legislation in Washington.

www.nass.usda.gov/nh. This is the New England Agricultural Statistics Service's site where you can view weekly crop progress reports, read agricultural statistics reports. Also offers links to sites for each of Ag Statistics Service throughout New England.

www.northeastnewfarmer.org - A Web site devoted to new farmers who are farming or hope to farm in the Northeast and to the service providers who are helping them succeed. Offers connections to programs, services, events and resources for new farmers throughout the 12 Northeast states.

Public policy

www.usda.gov/farmbill/ - Farm Bill 2002 - A collective effort by all USDA agencies to explain the new farm bill provisions and their implementation.
