Scholarship Guidelines

Each year, two scholarship awards will be available for college matriculated members of Yankee Farm Credit stockholders farm family units.
  • Each scholarship will be for $2,000. Preference will be given to applicants who have not previously received the award and who are enrolled in a degree related to agriculture.
  • Applicants shall be enrolled in college programs leading to a bachelor's or associate's degree.
  • Scholarships will be awarded on merit including academic, agricultural, civic accomplishment and essay content.
  • Applications will be submitted to the president of Yankee Farm Credit with a letter, biography and an essay, the topic is "Why I wish to pursue a career in my selected major."
  • Scholarship applications will be reviewed and recommendations for awards made by the Membership/Credit Review Committee of the board of directors to full board approval.
  • Applications must be received by August 1st each year and will be awarded at the first meeting after the committee’s decision.
  • Direct family members of Yankee Farm Credit employees and directors are not eligible for scholarship consideration.
